Rosa Lopez is a first generation Mexican American born and raised in Los Angeles who began her career in film and television in the early 2000’s while still in college. She has always had a passion for design and costuming. She joined Motion Picture Costumers local 705 after her Graduation from Woodbury University in 2003. After being vested for 15 years in 2018 she Costume Designed Lions Gate film “Three From Hell” and joined the Designers Guild Local 892 to fulfill her dream of designing for film and television. 

Rosa is not only a well rounded Costumer/ Costume Designer, she is active in her community as a local artist, illustrator, muralist, and fashion designer. She has assisted in many murals around the San Fernando valley to LA, and custom designs Quinceanera, Wedding, Prom dresses as well as anything else made to order in addition to her airbrushing illustrations on sneakers, and clothing. 

She has a deep love for her Mexican American culture/ heritage, and strives to be an inspiration for other Latino/ Latinas in her community who face the same doubts and obstacles of being successful in the entertainment and the arts industry as she once had. Rosa’s perseverance and drive for her art is second to none, and she has overcome many obstacles with humility, kindness, and perseverance because of her drive and passion for her art.
